NEWS: Shanghai Disneyland Reopens Date Announced

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected Disney parks around the globe.

Many parks closed and were reopened, including Disneyland Paris, Disney World and Disneyland Resort in California. Shanghai Disney Resort had to close in March , and we've seen more and more of the resort slowly reopen. We received an update telling us that more of the resort will reopen soon -- . And now we know exactly when.

Shanghai Disneyland will reopen from June 30th 2022. Tickets will be available from June 29th.

Management will begin the initial reopening phase by implementing "enhanced healthcare and safety measures" as well as "undertake a carefully ramp-up operation." Shanghai Disneyland will join Disneytown and Shanghai Disneyland Hotels in providing entertainment for guests.

The park will reopen with limited everyday capacity and enhanced security protocols . A majority of attractions and shopping areas will also reopen in limited capacity. Not all experiences will be available when the park reopens, however.

Tickets are now available. There will be a limited supply of tickets available each day. The Shanghai Disneyland Annual Passes are also available for purchase starting June 29th. A limited number of tickets will be made daily.

All guests must present a yellow Shanghai Health QR Code as well as a negative nucleic acid test within 72 hours before they can enter Shanghai Disney. Before they can enter the park, guests must show a yellow code as well as a Travel Iinerary Card. They also need to complete the Declaration Form. Temperature screening are required upon entry. All visitors must wear masks at ALL times, indoors as well as outdoors, except for when they are eating. Social distancing also will be required.
